About Sheepadoodles...

A Sheepadoodle is considered a “designer breed”. It is created by crossing an Old English Sheepdog and a Poodle.
Sheepadoodles make AMAZING family pets due to their calm temperament and loving personality.
Because of their genetic makeup, they are a nearly hypoallergenic breed. Their coats can be straight, wavy, or curly(depends on the coat traits of the parents). Their coats are long and lusciously soft! The OES(Old English Sheepdog) is 98% non-shedding and the Poodle is 100% nonshedding. Hair dander is what can be responsible for allergic reactions in individuals and is located within the hair follicle. If allergic you never should be the one brushing out your dog.

Sheepadoodles are incredibly intelligent and easily trained. Training should begin at a young age-their young minds are easily molded. They make wonderful family pets and can even be very good health care service dog or guidance dog. Because the parent OES (Old English Sheepdog is a herding dog, the Sheepadoodle can show some herding characteristic too.  They may move the rear half of their body to heard kids where they think they need to be. Or use their mouths/noses to heard them.  None of this is aggressive behavior but more breed characteristic. This all can be worked on with training but needs to be supervised by adults. We’ve never experienced these behaviors with our Sheepadoodles. We carefully select our parent dogs for their health, temperament, and structure. This allows us to produce amazing offspring.
